From Ottawa Airport:

On leaving the airport towards Ottawa take right hand slip road headed HUNT CLUB ROAD. It splits in two so keep on the left side headed west. At traffic lights turn left, which is still Hunt Club Road headed west. Stay on this road, passing some shops, and a few more sets of lights. Look out for sign to Prescott on the 416 headed South. Take this exit on your right (it’s a loop under the road to the 416). Keep on the 416 till you see the signs to U.S.A. Take this exit on your right and keep following the signs for the U.S.A. This part of the journey takes approx. 1 hour.

There is a toll of $2 U.S at the bridge and then you stop at the American customs. You will be asked to show your passport and then to park your vehicle and go into the customs office. You will have to fill in a green point of entry form and pay $6 U.S entry tax.

Then continue to the end of that road (2 minutes) and you are now in Ogdensburg. Turn left at the lights onto State Highway 37 (East). Keep on same road for about 15 minutes and you will be in Waddington and the motel can be found on the right hand side just a few minutes into Waddington.

From Montreal Airport:

Look for signs to the 401 West towards Cornwall. Keep on the 401 till you see signs for the U.S.A. Go over this bridge, again it is a toll bridge and the procedure at customs is the same as from Ottawa. (This should have taken approximately 1 ½ hours)

Once through customs, take the State Highway 37 West towards Massena. Keep on this road for about 30 minutes and you will be in Waddington. The motel is on the left hand side of the road just before you get into the main part of Waddington.

Fishing Licences

If you want to fish as soon as you get to the motel you will need to have your licence ready, you cannot fish without one. To get a licence en-route go to Walmarts at Ogdensburg (as you come though customs go right at lights on Highway 37 instead of left) and then right at first lights.

If coming from Montreal there is a Walmart in Massena on the right hand side of the Highway 37.

You can also purchase the licence from the local Town Hall in Waddington during office hours.
