There are a host of attractions and activities available to visitors of all ages, and all are within easy travelling distance of the motel.

Whether it’s a round of golf or boating or painting the beautiful scenery, the area has it all to offer. The wildlife and woodland that prevail are a photographer’s dream, the country walks breathtaking and the freshwater beaches will keep young children happy for hours. The nearby state park offers access of open spaces with barbeques and picnic tables and it’s own beach. Why not rent a bicycle and ride through the park taking in the sights as you go. The marina provides a haven for boat lovers, and just a few minutes away there are boat tours boarding from the Waddington municipal dock, with historical tours and dinner cruises available for that special evening.

If you fancy some fun in the evenings, the River Lanes Bowling Alley provides entertainment for the whole family, with disco bowling and light show over the 10 lanes.

For the younger ones, the Colonial Village Funpark in nearby Potsdam has it all, virtual roller coaster, go karts, mini golf, lazer tag and ball pit.

For the over 18’s the Akwesasne Casino provides a superb evening’s entertainment, with dinner available if required, and it’s only about a 40 minutes drive from the motel.

Want to go further afield then, take a drive to Alexander Bay and see the 1000 Islands. It’s only an hour from the motel and definitely worth the trip. Take a boat tour around the world famous 1000 Islands or visit Boldt and Singer Castles.

The Eisenhower locks are amazing feat of engineering and to see the huge ships pass through is a sight worth seeing.

Also in the vicinity there are of course the shopping malls. Massena, Watertown, Syracuse have them all, or of course you can pop over to Ottawa in Canada and do some sightseeing as well as shopping.

If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous then take an overnight trip to see Niagara Falls, a truly awesome sight. Take a boat trip on the Maid of the Mist, it goes right up to the falls.

You may even want to take in Toronto while you are in the area, and visit the CN Tower with it’s amazing glass floor, and also visit the Baseball Stadium, home to the Blue Jays. And if you still have enough energy, Toronto has a fantastic underground shopping mall.
